Additional Feature (phpMyAdmin) & Updated Terms of Service

As our clients know, we strive to provide excellent customer service, and want to be the best resource, especially for nonprofit organizations, in all technical needs including web hosting, remote server administration, networking, computer repair and support, and more.

 

Now Available: Access to phpMyAdmin

We are proud to announce that we now have phpMyAdmin installed onto our server infrastructure, which enables you (our hosting clients) to access and edit any databases you may have in a graphical environment through your web browser. We only provide access to these types of tools in an encrypted (HTTPS / SSL) connection, making sure that all of your usernames, passwords, and data stay safe while you are editing it, and which prevents malicious users from eavesdropping on your work.

 

If you are a web hosting client, to access phpMyAdmin directly, please login to your account and then find the link under "support." You will be asked for your database username and password. After logging in, you will be able to view your database and make changes to it directly any time you want. The phpMyAdmin software also provides you with the ability to backup (export) your databases, as well as restore them.

 

Please note that we make nightly and weekly backups of all your databases so that if you ever need us to restore any information, all you have to do is contact us!

 

Updated Terms of Service

We have recently updated our Terms of Service which we require all of our hosting clients to agree to before opening an account with us. Effective immediately (December 23rd), the following have been added to our Terms of Service:

  1. Before your web hosting account is made active, you must register with us at www.smoothstoneservices.com/user and register your information at www.smoothstoneservices.com/register.
  2. Full payment for service must be received within fourteen (14) days of receiving an invoice, which we will email you. Otherwise, we may suspend your account.
  3. There will be a $15 fee for any returned (bounced) checks; in addition, any possible bank fees from a returned check that we are assessed will be charged to your account.

 

If you do not already have an account with us at www.smoothstoneservices.com, or you have not completed the form at www.smoothstoneservices.com/register, you will be required to do so before your next annual web hosting cycle begins.
